Resalat Al-Salam Global Foundation Delegation Visits Pakistani Embassy in Cairo to Explore Prospects for Cultural and Media Cooperation

A delegation from Resalat Al-Salam Global Foundation visited the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Cairo, where it met with Dr. Talha Jamil, Deputy Head of Mission, to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation in the cultural, media, and intellectual fields and explore opportunities to engage with academic and cultural institutions in Pakistan.

The delegation included Dr. Moataz Salah El-Din, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Resalat Al-Salam Global Foundation’s Cairo Office; Osama Ibrahim, Founding Secretary-General and member of the Board of Trustees; Ismail Eid, member of the Board of Trustees; and Mohamed Moataz, Foreign Relations Coordinator at the Cairo Office.

During the meeting, the delegation outlined the Foundation’s mission and intellectual and humanitarian objectives, which focus on promoting the values of peace, mercy, tolerance, justice, and human fraternity, as well as fostering dialogue and mutual understanding among peoples. These objectives reflect the vision of Professor Ali Mohamed Al-Sharafa Al-Hammadi, founder and Supreme President of Resalat Al-Salam Global Foundation.

The delegation explained that the Foundation seeks to promote these values through books and publications, cultural and intellectual activities, and international events. It also works to build partnerships with institutions and organizations committed to intercultural dialogue and greater understanding among civilizations.

The delegation reviewed the Foundation’s activities and international relations, emphasizing the importance of engaging with diplomatic missions and cultural and academic institutions to expand initiatives aimed at promoting peace and peaceful coexistence among peoples.

The meeting explored opportunities for cultural, intellectual, and media cooperation between the Foundation and the Pakistani side. Discussions covered ways to introduce activities and initiatives of mutual interest and identify practical avenues for collaboration.

Participants also discussed the possibility of organizing joint events and seminars addressing peace, intercultural dialogue, and shared human values. They stressed the importance of selecting a specific topic that could serve as a practical starting point for cooperation rather than limiting discussions to broad, general proposals.

The discussions further addressed the potential use of media platforms and digital communication channels to disseminate relevant cultural and intellectual content and publicize activities that could be implemented jointly by both sides.

The meeting also examined opportunities to establish connections with academic and cultural institutions in Pakistan, including through communication channels that the Embassy could facilitate to help the Foundation reach relevant organizations and explore prospects for cooperation in cultural and intellectual dialogue.

The participants also considered the possibility of organizing an event in Pakistan focusing on themes central to the Foundation’s mission, particularly peace, mercy, justice, and human fraternity, while highlighting the humanitarian values of Islam.

The discussions underscored the importance of identifying a specific target institution and clearly defining the subject of any proposed initiative, followed by an assessment of its feasibility in light of the interests of the institutions concerned and the opportunities available for cooperation.

The meeting also highlighted the importance of presenting the authentic values of Islam and emphasizing its principles of mercy, justice, and peace. Participants stressed the role of constructive dialogue in correcting stereotypes and misconceptions about Islam and Muslims.

In this context, the participants discussed the role of books, publications, and cultural and intellectual events in strengthening mutual understanding among peoples and creating opportunities for dialogue on shared human values. Such efforts can contribute to countering intolerance and overcoming misunderstandings between cultures.

The discussions also highlighted the importance of building bridges with cultural, Islamic, and academic institutions and centers, as well as making use of international events to introduce the Foundation’s intellectual mission and broaden the scope of intercultural dialogue.

At the conclusion of the meeting, participants emphasized the need to translate the discussions into practical steps by identifying a clearly defined area of cooperation. Potential avenues included a joint media initiative, a cultural activity, establishing contact with an academic institution in Pakistan, or exploring the organization of a joint event.

They also stressed the importance of maintaining communication and exchanging proposals to identify the most suitable initiative, allowing both sides to assess the available opportunities and build on the initial discussions in subsequent stages.

During the visit, the delegation, headed by Dr. Moataz Salah El-Din, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation’s Cairo Office, presented Dr. Talha Jamil, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Pakistan in Cairo, with copies of works authored by Professor Ali Mohamed Al-Sharafa Al-Hammadi, founder and Supreme President of Resalat Al-Salam Global Foundation.

The publications presented included The Message of Islam: Mercy, Justice, Freedom, and Peace, in both Arabic and English; The Quran Testifies to the Validity of Christian Belief, in both Arabic and English; The Document of Entry into Islam, in English; Divorce Threatens the Security of Society; and a publication outlining the objectives and principles of Resalat Al-Salam Global Foundation.

The visit forms part of Resalat Al-Salam Global Foundation’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its international relations with diplomatic missions and cultural and academic institutions, open new avenues for cooperation, promote the values of peace, mercy, and justice, and foster greater understanding and rapprochement among peoples.
